实验室概况

类脑计算与脑机智能是我国“科技创新2030-脑科学与类脑研究”项目的重要组成部分,是基于脑认知功能原理的类脑计算与脑机智能研究。具体指从脑出发,借助脑机交互形成脑机融合乃至一体化系统,或采用神经形态技术,模拟仿真生物神经系统构成虚拟脑,实现智能计算。类脑智能有望形成兼具生物(人类)智能体的环境感知、记忆、推理、学习能力和机器智能体的信息整合、搜索、计算能力的新型智能形态。

Brain-inspired computing and brain-machine intelligence is an important part of China's "Science and Technology Innovation 2030 - Brain Science and Brain-Inspired Research" project. It is a research of brain-inspired computing and brain-machine intelligence based on the principles of brain cognitive functions. Specifically, starting from the brain, it creates a brain-computer fusion and even an integrated system with brain-computer interaction, or uses neuromorphic technologies to simulate the biological nervous system to form a virtual brain and realize intelligent computing. Brain-inspired intelligence is expected to become a new form of intelligence that combines the environmental perception, memory, reasoning, and learning capabilities of biological (human) intelligence and the information integration, search, and computational capabilities of machine intelligence.


类脑智能研究中心隶属于北京脑科学与类脑研究所,致力于创新和发展具有超高运算效率、超低运算功耗、支持多种智能任务、可大规模集成的类脑器件、电路、芯片与系统。中心重点围绕以下五个方向开展研究:

The Center for Brain-Inspired Intelligence Research, affiliated with the Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing(CIBR), is dedicated to the innovation and development of brain-inspired devices, circuits, chips, and systems that support various intelligent tasks and large-scale integration with ultra-high computational efficiency and ultra-low power consumption. The Center focuses on the following 5 research directions:



1. 人工神经形态器件与类脑计算(Artificial Neuromorphic Devices and Brain-Inspired Computing);

2. 基于忆阻器的高效类脑计算系统(Memristor-Based Efficient Computing System);

3. 面向人工智能的类脑芯片设计与制造(Design and Manufacture of Memristor Chips for Artificial Intelligence);

4. 面向人工智能的忆阻存算一体化芯片设计与制造(Design and Fabrication of Memristor-Based Compute-in-Memory Chips for Artificial Intelligence);

5.高通量低功耗脑机接口解码芯片与技术(High-Throughput Low-Power Brain-Machine Interface Decoding Chip and Technology);


本中心主任为杨玉超教授。杨教授为北京脑科学与类脑研究所双聘资深研究员、北京大学长聘教授/博雅特聘教授、国家杰青、信息工程学院副院长、类脑智能芯片研究中心主任。长期从事忆阻器、类脑计算、存算一体芯片等研究,相关研究成果累计发表Nature Electronics、Nature Reviews Materials、Nature Nanotechnology、Nature Communications、Science Advances、IEDM等期刊和会议论文150余篇,受邀撰写中英文专著5章,获20余项国家发明专利授权。累计被引11000余次,H因子为47,研究工作入选北京智源人工智能研究院发布的“2020年人工智能十大进展”、爱集微发布的“2022年度中国半导体十大学术进展”。成果在国家电网、中芯国际、华为、航天科工二院等开展应用。曾50余次受邀在国际学术会议上做主旨、特邀报告,主持国家重点研发计划(2项)、国家杰青、基金委重点项目、霍英东青年教师基金等重点科研项目15项,任国家重点研发计划项目首席科学家、中青科协信息与电子专业委员会副秘书长、中国电子学会青年工作委员会委员、《npj Unconventional Computing》副主编、《APL Machine Learning》副主编、《Microelectronic Engineering》副主编、《National Science Review》编委、《Chip》编委、《中国科学:信息科学》青年编委、《电子学报》青年编委、《集成电路产业系列丛书》编委、《Advanced Intelligent Systems》等6本期刊客座编辑。获首届科学探索奖、求是杰出青年学者奖、Wiley青年研究者奖、《麻省理工科技评论》中国区35岁以下科技创新35人、教育部高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖(科学技术)青年科学奖、杰出青年中关村奖等奖项,连续入选2020、2021、2023年全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单、爱思唯尔“中国高被引学者”。

The director of the Center is Professor Yuchao Yang. Prof. Yang serves as a dual-appointed researcher at CIBR, a tenured professor/Boya Distinguished Professor at Peking University, a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the Associate Dean of the School of Information Engineering, and the director of the Center for Brain-Inspired Intelligent Chips. His research interests include memristors, neuromorphic computing, and in-memory computing. He has published over 130 papers in high-profile journals and conferences such as Nature Electronics, Nature Reviews Materials, Nature Communications, Nature Nanotechnology, Science Advances, Advanced Materials, Nano Letters, IEDM, etc. as well as 5 book chapters. He was invited to give >40 keynote/invited talks on international conferences and serves as TPC chair or member for 9 international conferences. Yuchao Yang serves as the Associate Editor for 3 journals including Microelectronic Engineering, APL Machine Learning and Nano Select, and editorial board member of National Science Review, Chip, Scientific Reports and Science China Information Sciences. He was invited to guest edit 5 special issues and write 12 News & Views, review articles, etc. He is a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund, Qiu Shi Outstanding Young Scholar Award, Wiley Young Researcher Award, MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 in China, the EXPLORER PRIZE and Outstanding Achievement Award in Scientific Research (Youth Science Award) of the Ministry of Education. He was recognized as Highly Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
